Meadowvale is an employee owned company that specializes in the manufacturing of dairy mixes for the ice cream and frozen confection industry. From frozen custard to super premium ice creams, Meadowvale has provided some of the most prolific retailers since 1967. Our roots lie in dairy; however, our focus is more concise than most billion dollar dairy conglomerates. We don’t make cheese or supply school milk. We simply make the highest quality ice cream mixes and provide them to the most discerning retailers.
Since its inception, Meadowvale has embodied the spirit of the entrepreneurial retailer. In 1967 John Steinwart our founder, left the security of his corporate dairy sales position to forge his own path. Dissatisfied with the inattentive corporate machinery in place, he left the status quos, and formed a dairy of his own focusing on customer relationships.
With the help and support of his longtime friend Sherb Noble, Johnny began producing dairy mixes of superior quality. As a World War II veteran, Sherb had returned home in 1941 and opened the first Dairy Queen in Joliet Illinois. Sherb, like Johnny, valued relationships and entrusted John to supply his then twelve stores. To this day Meadowvale is blessed and honored to serve the estate of the late Sherb Noble.
Over forty years later, our approach is much the same. We surround ourselves with superior talent both inside and outside of our business.
